Hello guys,
I need to replace the existing tires 215R14. There are good priced rims with tires in my local online shop, with dimension of the rims - steel rim 5,5×16 inset 63 4604000202 Mercedes G-Class 460 461, tires 205/75/16. Could they fit on RM40 - 1983?

Hi Jack,

the original rims are 6x14 H2 ET51. OEM-Number 602 401 02 01
If you take other rims, it is on your own risk. Remind the rear axle-load. Rim and tyre must be able to carry a load of min. 1120kg! For tyres it is 112/110 load category.

Thank you guys,
Your help came just on time. I have thought to dismantle the wheel and to take measures today.
I saw on rubicon-trail that there are two main types of ET - 63 and 38. /37/.

I will give up for now from changing the rims, although I think that increasing the wheel diameter will improve driving on 5-th gear.

Greetings
J.
